Just another example of why I decided to stick with federated options. Using a hosted WordPress + ActivityPub and even my Mastodon instance is with a hosting service. Depending on how the next year or so plays out I may even try shifting everything to self-hosting from a home server. I still have my X account but haven’t posted to it for a while. I’ve used it recently to message a YouTube creator and fact check a post I saw on Mastodon but that’s it. Absolutely disgusting.
